Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl is a really good book. The first half of the book is the author recounting his experiences as a Jewish man in Nazi concentration camps. The second half delves more into his theories for Logotherapy. The first part of the book helps you understand the circumstances by which he was able to create Logotherapy, and the second part explains it further while referencing his experiences to better exemplify the points he is making. It’s a good read even for just his experiences during the war.

Important to note when you’re looking for self-help books: different strokes for different folks. You need to find the one that you vibe with as different books might teach you different, and in some cases, contradicting things. Keep note of context and applicability in your own life.

Hope this was helpful.

Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl - I had many “aha!” and “not-sure-about-this” moments here. It also had numerous quotable quotes; one of my favorites is “An abnormal reaction to an abnormal situation is normal.”

Travels with Epicurus by Daniel Klein - This is one is a short read focused on the musings of the author about growing old. His picturesque descriptions will make you feel like you’re with him in that Greek island. You’ll chuckle at the author’s humorous take on the mundane.

The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron - You don’t have to be an artist to read this. It’s just a fun and educational book with many practical tips. You might find yourself recommending this to everyone you know.

Happy reading!
